It's 2016, so it should be a choice, and you're right, having kids is really expensive, sometimes your health doesn't cooperate, or it's just simply not for everyone. ;)Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15955103477486198499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3966316529291694099.post-28788151242614737212016-06-22T11:09:06.555+01:002016-06-22T11:09:06.555+01:00I find it so difficult to comprehend the health ca...I find it so difficult to comprehend the health care system over there. We are so, so lucky to have the NHS in the UK. As far as I'm concerned, free health care should be a basic, human right.

Completely agree with you, regarding abortion. It should be woman's choice! The idea of women being punished for choosing not to have a baby is like something out of the stone ages. It's their bodies, they shoudl be able to make the decision for themselves. I mean, if we clamp down on abortions, we're ignoring the fact that some pregnancies cause huge health risks to both the mother and child, as well as the fact that children are a huge financial burden that not everyone can afford. I think anti-choice campaigners are just of the view that all pregnancies SHOULD be carried to full term and result in a child, regardless of the quality of life that child might have, OR the risk to the mother's wellbeing. And that's not something I could ever align myself with.mrsmanicshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09894116750061022896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3966316529291694099.post-21032521429304951312016-06-22T01:53:01.032+01:002016-06-22T01:53:01.032+01:00Yeah, in fact I know some Americans who want to mo...Yeah, in fact I know some Americans who want to move here if he wins. If this problem with guns is big, I can imagine he'll just make it worse and give everyone an AR-15 even if they don't need it. What really pissed me off was when he said we should be punished for getting an abortion. I am pro-choice, especially for abortion and I will not stand for anyone saying we can't get one and try to punish us for it. Motherhood isn't for everyone. Sadly most Americans are just as dumb as he as sometimes, they love their guns so much, I'll never understand it. I mean, both our countries regulate it, lots of other countries do too, but America has this big concept that they are the most powerful and can do whatever they want as long as they remain the strongest nation out there from how I see it. Terrible health care system, no gun control, it's appalling.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15955103477486198499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3966316529291694099.post-72756790081763802492016-06-21T20:59:49.636+01:002016-06-21T20:59:49.636+01:00Honestly, the idea of Trump becoming president is ...Honestly, the idea of Trump becoming president is too horrifying a thought to contemplate. I can't imagine how genuinely scary it is for someone living so much closer to the USA, because even to me in England, it's just unthinkable.mrsmanicshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09894116750061022896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3966316529291694099.post-69993680767116804512016-06-21T18:38:00.799+01:002016-06-21T18:38:00.799+01:00It's even scarier on the fact that I live in a...It's even scarier on the fact that I live in a country right next to them, and the risk of our alliance with them facing the possiblity of being severed if he becomes president. The last thing we need is WWIII. You also nailed it with that stereotype about Americans, I don't see what's so special about having to own a gun...especially an assault rifle. It's scary to see people out there who take it personally and argue when people like us say guns need to be more regulated in America. We said REGULATED, not banned. There's a big difference. I'm happy to live in Canada where we are stereotyped as hockey lovers living in igloos drinking Molson Canadian Beer (none of that stuff is my cup of tea but still) But sadly America just keeps getting worse, I'm not sure what will eventually be a wake up call for them to get their shit together that these deaths from mass shootings has got to stop.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15955103477486198499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3966316529291694099.post-55849970500930794542016-06-21T16:49:54.552+01:002016-06-21T16:49:54.552+01:00Never apologise for a long comment when you're...Never apologise for a long comment when you're talking so much sense! I agree with every single word. I find the casual attitude that pervades America, regarding gun control (or lack thereof) to be utterly and completely terrifying!mrsmanicshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09894116750061022896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3966316529291694099.post-39197171722333254242016-06-19T20:25:53.933+01:002016-06-19T20:25:53.933+01:00Very well said! Here in Canada we have strict regulations on guns too, you need to be licensed in ordered to carry one, sometimes you even need a license to do what you plan to do with that gun! For example, you'd need a license to own a shotgun, and if you want to use it for hunting, you need a hunting license too. So you obviously can't just waltz into a store and buy one. I don't think my country even has a gun shop. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to live in a country that neighbors one that puts their love for carrying firearms at all costs over safety of human lives. It breaks my heart to see people say that the right to bear firearms is more important than the safety of people, while meanwhile the rest of the world knows how to put people first. I don't want him to become president either, he hates Canadians and Mexicans and wants to get back at us for some reason, and I almost punched the wall when I saw him tweet that he was "right" about this violence, he showed know sympathy for the victims or proposed change, which is exactly what will become worse if he is elected. This NRA organization is obviously full of crap, only caring about making money and having people be protected. If they think having everyone armed will make them feel safe, I call that bullsit, no one should have to feel that way. Assault rifles shouldn't even be available to the public to buy, it should be for military hands only! Finally, I have to say that I think bearing firearms should be a privilege, not a right. I don't know for sure, but I bet you here in Canada the RCMP that are in charge of licensing Canadians to carry guns, you have to take courses and pass screenings before you are granted access. So it makes it like a privilege more. If it's gonna be abused, it should be revoked, that is all. Oh wait...it can't be revoked in the US because there is no system like that and the shooter kills himself afterwards to avoid being arrested! *sigh* there are things I want to do on my bucket list that require me to go to the US, but given all these mass shootings, I may have to put them on hold for probably....forever. *sniffle* Anyway, sorry for the ridiculously long comment and thank you for speaking out about this, I only wish more people would.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15955103477486198499noreply@blogger.com
