When I think of a child getting hurt, I want to take him in my arms and protect him.

I have no compassion for the abusive adult Christian. He knows better. BUT here's the thing: even if he didn't know better, that's still not an excuse for abuse. It's still wrong. If he honestly doesn't know any better, then why would you even want to be around him? Just b/c a man was abused as a child doesn't mean I have to let him abuse me so he can "heal."

In order for him to truly heal, anyway, he is going to have to experience a healthy relationship at some point. Getting to act out the abuse you suffered where you now have the power is called sexual abuse imprinting, it's not healing.

And by the way, sexual abuse imprinting is what Ariel Castro did to Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina de Jesus. Would any Christian fans have wanted to hang out in Ariel's dungeon? I doubt it, b/c Ariel Castro is not a handsome billionaire who can give you ten thousand orgasms. Because God knows, it's very important to have compassion for the fictional childhood of an abusive man in a badly written book. But seriously, that argument is ridiculous.'
Very possibly, the best thing I've read all day. :)
Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04537128247830985502noreply@blogger.com
